Park and Bark Dog Grooming Services Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions outline the rules and regulations for the use of Park and Bark’s Dog Grooming services. By booking an appointment or using our website, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully.

1. General

Service Agreement: By booking a grooming appointment with Park and Bark, you agree to the terms and conditions set forth herein.

Eligibility: Our services are available to pet owners who can provide necessary health information about their pets.

Right to Refuse Service: Park and Bark reserves the right to refuse service if a dog poses a risk to itself, the groomer, or others, including aggressive behaviour or extreme health concerns.

2. Appointments and Cancellations

Booking: Appointments can be booked via our website, phone, or in person. We will confirm your appointment via email or text message. You are required to pay the deposit otherwise rescheduling may be necessary.

Cancellations: We require at least 24 hours’ notice for cancellations. If less notice is given, a cancellation fee of 50% of the total amount may apply.

Late Arrivals: If you arrive more than 15 minutes late for your appointment, we may not be able to accommodate your dog, and rescheduling may be necessary.

No-Shows: If you miss an appointment without notifying us, a “no-show” fee of full amount may apply.

3. Health and Safety

Vaccinations: All dogs must be up to date on their vaccinations, including parvovirus, distemper, and kennel cough. We may request proof of vaccination before your appointment.

Fleas and Ticks: If your dog is found to have fleas or ticks during grooming, we will administer a flea bath at an additional cost. Severe infestations may result in the rescheduling of your appointment.

Health Conditions: It is your responsibility to inform us of any pre-existing health conditions, allergies, or injuries your dog may have. This helps us tailor our grooming services to your dog’s specific needs.

Senior Pets: We take special care with elderly dogs, but please note that grooming can be stressful for older pets. You assume all risks associated with grooming senior pets.

4. Grooming Process

Grooming Duration: The time required for grooming varies depending on the dog’s breed, size, coat condition, and temperament. We will provide an estimated completion time at drop-off.

Matted Coats: If your dog’s coat is severely matted, additional fees may apply due to the extra time and care required. In some cases, shaving may be necessary to prevent discomfort or injury.

Style and Preferences: While we strive to meet specific grooming requests, we cannot guarantee exact results, particularly if a dog’s coat condition limits grooming options.

Accidents: Grooming tools are sharp, and while we take extreme care, occasional nicks or injuries can occur. If an accident happens, we will immediately notify you and, if necessary, seek veterinary care (at your cost).

5. Payment Terms

Pricing: All prices are based on breed, size, coat condition, and temperament. Since we are unable to conduct an in-person assessment at the time of online booking, a comprehensive evaluation of your dog will be completed upon your dog’s arrival. Based on this assessment, we will provide you with a precise quote for the dog grooming services. Please note that additional fees may apply for special services or if your dog’s condition requires extra time and care.
Dog Sizes: XS – Extra Small, S – Small, M – Medium, L – Large and XL – Extra Large

Payment: Payment deposit is required and balance payment is due upon completion of services. We accept cash, credit/debit cards, and other payment methods specified at the time of booking.

Late Payments: If payment is not made at the time of service, we reserve the right to charge a late fee of 10% of the full amount and may refuse future service until payment is received.

Late Pickups: We kindly ask that you pick up your dog promptly at the time agreed upon. Late pickups of more than 15 minutes may incur an additional fee of $25 per hour to cover our extended care.

6. Liability

Pet Behaviour: You understand and accept that grooming can be stressful for some dogs, and accidents or injuries may occur. Park and Bark is not liable for any health complications resulting from grooming, including allergic reactions, pre-existing conditions, or any injuries caused by your dog’s behaviour.

Personal Items: We are not responsible for loss or damage to any personal items left with your dog during grooming (e.g., collars, leashes, etc.). Expected that you should take your dog’s personal item with you when you leave.

7. Use of Media

Photos: We may take photos of your dog before and after grooming for promotional purposes, including use on our website and social media. If you do not wish for your pet’s photos to be used, please notify us in writing.

8. Privacy Policy

Personal Information: We respect your privacy. Any personal information you provide during the booking process will be kept confidential and only used for the purpose of providing grooming services or contacting you about your pet.

Third-Party Sharing: We do not share your personal information with third parties without your consent unless required by law.

9. Changes to Terms and Conditions

Park and Bark reserves the right to update these Terms and Conditions at any time. Any changes will be posted on our website and take effect immediately. By continuing to use our services, you agree to be bound by any revised terms.
